James Anderson简介：
James Anderson（詹姆斯•安德森）教授现任教于哈佛大学地球与行星科学系和生物化学系。Anderson教授于1992年当选美国科学院院士，分别于1998和1985当选美国哲学院院士和美国艺术与科学院院士，1989年当选美国地球物理学会会士，先后荣获美国科学促进会Arthur L. Day奖并兼任讲席教授， E.O. Lawrence环境科学与技术奖，美国化学学会Gustavus John Esselen化学公益奖。Anderson教授所获其它荣誉包括： 2005年度联合国维也纳大会臭氧层保护贡献奖，联合国地球日国际大奖，哈佛大学为其教员颁发的Ledlie最有价值科学贡献奖，以及美国化学学会颁发的国家环境科学与技术进步奖。

演讲简介：
Global production of energy to satisfy the combination of population growth and economic development places strict limits on how that primary energy is generated based on climate feedbacks that set the time scale for irreversible changes in the climate structure. The physical sciences hold the key to establishing a pathway forward. That pathway can only be quantitatively defined using technology developments in spectroscopy, lasers, electronics, robotics and strong scientific collaboration between China and the United States.
