The 23rd Annual Meeting of the Committee of 100 Successfully Held in San Francisco

On 25th April, the 23rd Awards Dinner of the Committee of 100 was successfully held in San Francisco. The Committee of 100 is an organization consisting of a group of prominent Chinese Americans.

It conferred awards to Peking University (PKU) and Stanford University for their outstanding contributions inpromoting U.S.-China relations. Vice President of PKU Chen Shiyi and President of Stanford University John Hennessy were present at the Awards Dinner and made their acceptance speeches respectively.
 
Under the theme of “Common Ground”, the 23rd Annual Meeting of the Committee of 100 was held at Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco on 26th April.

Prominent figures from government departments, enterprises and academia of both China and the U.S. participated in five sessions on core issues in U.S.-China relations, including “Search, Shop, Spend: Unleashing the Chinese Digital Consumer”, “Building U.S.-China Strategic Trust”, “Fostering a New Major Power Relationship”, “Challenges for Chinese Americans Working in Science and Technology” and “Ideas, Innovation, Identity: Asian Americans in Silicon Valley”.

Professor Jia Qingguo, Dean of the School of International Studies, Peking University, attended the conference and made a keynote speech in the session of Building U.S.-China Strategic Trust.
