On the afternoon of 14th April, Prof. Didier Viviers, President of Université Libre de Bruxelles, visits Peking University (PKU). Prof. Wang Enge, President of PKU, met the guests at Linhuxuan, accompanied by Dr. Li Yansong, Vice President of PKU.
Prof. Wang Enge first extended warm welcome for the arrival of Prof. Didier Viviers. He said that huge bilateral cooperative progress has been made between Université Libre de Bruxelles and Peking University during the past decades, and communication and cooperation in such fields as natural science, medical science, humanities and social science where both universities boast advantage subjects should be promoted.
Prof. Didier Viviers said that he is very willing to deepen bilateral cooperation. The two universities have carried out exchanges and collaboration in many research fields since the signing of Cooperation Framework Agreement in 2005. He advocated that both sides could explore the possibility of establishing links in major subjects where both universities have interests. In addition, Université Libre de Bruxelles will offer more fellowships for PKU students planning to study for a doctor's degree in Université Libre de Bruxelles.
After the meeting, members of the delegation went to respective departments and schools to conduct in-depth seminars and discussions.
